The European Space Agency’s is set to try out its first unmanned IXV (Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle), the purpose of the IXV is to carry satellites into space for deployment autonomously without any humans on-board. The IVX will go through a 100 minute hypersonic and supersonic flight from the Guiana Space Center — Europe’s launch complex in French Guiana. It will fly over the Eurasian continent and will land in the pacific ocean where it is set to be recovered.
