We’ve seen it all, from reusable rockets to space shuttles putting satellites in space. All of these methods are still fairly expensive and so the The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has gone two steps further. It plans to launch microsatellites using an F-15-deployed rocket which Boeing is developing under the Airborne Launch Assist Space Access (ALASA) program.
